I'm going to study mechanical engineering from Manipal University, Dubai. While I wasn't so excited about the prospect of studying at Manipal specially the one in Dubai, I thought why not visit the campus and take a campus tour with someone from the faculty showing me around.
Now this was a big deal because the university is an hour from civilization. Located in a hot, sandy, desert-y place.
Breaking from the holiday routine of waking up at 12, I woke up at 8 and left for the university.
Reached the university at 1:30, thanks to Mrigank Mohan not waking up on time and delaying me.
Thats when the first of the surprises started. The campus was large but elegant and the interiors were done very well. There was a nice ambience that promoted studying.
I was taken around by a professor who showed me the labs and spoke to me about the different experiments and what to expect in first year.
All in all it was a nice little experience.
